Emergency actions involving animals on public roads
As an organism with functions delegated by the Government of Catalonia, we act quickly and effectively to protect road safety, animals’ integrity and citizens’ well-being.
Main actions we carry out
In these situations, we work to control and redirect the animals, prevent more accidents, coordinate the rescue and safe removal of the animals involved, and support the emergency services.
Collaboration with the Ministry of Home Affairs
Our entity works closely with the Mossos d’Esquadra police force and the Rural Agents to respond to situations involving animals in the public spaces, especially on the interurban roads.
